Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia ruled veterans suffering of chronic diseases be offered medicine for 1 GEL from September 2019. It was announced after a meeting with servicemen at a Rehabilitation Center located in Tsinandali today.

Initiative covers 35 branded medicine, which is intended for cardio-vascular, breathing system, Type B Diabetes, thyroid gland, epilepsy and Parkinson's diseases.
"Some weeks ago we announced about a very important project, which will enable our citizens to purchase certain medicine for a symbolic price. Main beneficiaries of the program are pensioners, people with disabilities and socially vulnerable groups of population. Request was made to include veterans in the program as well. Of course, we took this decision. Hence, all veterans will be able to benefit of the program and purchase medicine for chronic diseases for a symbolic price from September" stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.
