Giorgi Gakharia: We are creating decent social conditions for pensioners, teachers, and police forces, and that is the least we can do for those setting the stage for the country’s future Print Version

We are raising pensions for pensioners and salaries for teachers under the educational reform, also for police officers who ensure order in the country on a daily basis, and we are creating decent social conditions for them. It is the least we can do for those setting the stage for the country's future, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia told the press today.

"These include children, our cherished senior citizens, pensioners, and the members of the public sector serving our citizens: teachers, doctors, and police officers. I believe that it is the state's positive duty to stand by these persons whenever it can mobilize adequate financial resources. My wish for all successive Governments, regardless of their political affiliation, is to take such steps even when capital expenditure increases, which is the case now, and which we have absolutely openly stated," Giorgi Gakharia said.
