Giorgi Gakharia expresses his sorrow over the passing of composer Giya Kancheli.
According to the Prime Minister, Giya Kancheli's music, inspired by Georgian motifs, will be enshrined in the world's cultural treasury.
"I once again express my deepest sorrow over the passing of the great Georgian composer Giya Kancheli. Indeed, Giya Kancheli's music, drawing on Georgian motives, will claim its place in the world's cultural treasury. I extend my sympathies to the family and loved ones of Giya Kancheli, and to every Georgian citizen," Giorgi Gakharia stated.
