I know that very soon we will have an even more successful, comfortable city, and we will always remember its most striking characteristic of tolerance, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated in his speech at today's Tbilisi honorary citizenship award ceremony.
The Head of Government wished the audience a Happy Tbilisoba Festival, and emphasized that Tbilisi must be a city of traditions, progress, and victory.
"I wish a Happy Tbilisoba Festival to Tbilisi's residents. I remember this festival since childhood. Today, we welcome this festival with quiet sadness. I would like to wish a happy holiday to everyone on this stage today, and I wish all of you, every young person, to show excellence in serving this city to stand on this stage at their age. I remember the block where I grew up, and on this block we, representatives of various nationalities guided by the spirit of tolerance, stuck together through good and bad times alike. We must keep up this spirit, and our Tbilisi must draw on traditions to be a city of progress and victory, and it will be so, I am confident," Giorgi Gakharia said.
