We are launching the Second Phase of Dignified Retirement of Pension-Age Teachers. It was announced by Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia at the Executive Government Meeting today.

According to the Head of Government of Georgia, Second Phase is being launched and full funding has already been earmarked in the State Budget. Prime Minister underlined that the First Phase of the Project was successful and applied to 6 450 teachers.

"Second Phase of the Project will be completed by the end of 2019. It should essentially facilitate the entry of young teachers to the education system, along with a dignified retirement of our decent and praiseworthy teachers. It is a very important project and I am confident that what has been launched by the most effective, decent and successful team, will be continued in the coming months and years" concluded the Prime Minister of Georgia.
