Jobs, education and security will comprise a challenge to be faced by everyone in the coming 10-15 years. Mitigation effort requires financial stability and sound fiscal policy. It was stated by Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia when meeting the staff of the Revenue Service (RS) at the Ministry of Finance of Georgia (MOF).

Head of Government of Georgia stressed the significance of an effective an efficient performance of the MOF and its system institutions, including the RS, thereby giving a timeline of two weeks to its staff for coming up with solutions to problematic issues.

"Revenue Service with its Customs Department cannot be pardoned for any error. I am saying is bluntly that grace period has expired. Collection of tax revenues, state treasury and all that is related to the expenditures incurred by local authorities, along with the control of all that and overall performance of tax and customs administrations are of critical importance. Hence, you should know that you will be watched most closely" said the Prime Minister of Georgia to the MOF staff.

Meeting was attended by the Minister of Finance, Deputy Ministers and Heads of Legal Entities of Public Law (LEPLs) subordinated to the MOF.
