ENEL Corp. being a multinational energy corporation and a global leader will be sending a team of specialists to study investment opportunities in Georgia. Decision was announced by Francesco Starace, CEO of ENEL Corp. at a meeting with Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia held within the scope of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos today.

Head of Government of Georgia shared detailed information with CEO of ENEL Corp. on the favorable investment climate in the county and opportunities that are offered by Georgia, including those in the energy sector.

Hydro potential available in Georgia for the construction of new hydro, wind and solar energy stations was stressed at the meeting, along with the need of additional sources of energy generation in parallel with the economic growth of the country.

"Prime Minister of Georgia shared a very clear and detailed information on the investment potential of the country. We had information on the development opportunities in the energy sector from the Minister of Finance of Georgia and Economic Aid of the Prime Minister of Georgia. We discussed the integration of power energy systems between Georgia and its strategic partner countries, along with the need of continuing the development of transit networks with higher intensity. Decision was made to send a team to Georgia for a thorough study of the topic" noted the CEO of ENEL Corp. after his meeting with the Head of Government of Georgia.
