Prime Minister of Georgia Meets Ambassador of Israel to Georgia Print Version

Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia met H.E. Ran Gidor, Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of Israel to Georgia today.

Parties discussed crucial topics of the bilateral cooperation agenda and priorities for future. Positive trend of relations was noted in a number of directions and it was stressed that potential is greater and could be used in full, especially towards trade and economic links.

Focus was made on the growing trade volumes between the nations and it was noted that Israel is one of the leading source countries for visitors to Georgia. Hopes were expressed towards seeing more intensity in this and other directions in 2020.

Focus at the meeting was made on the projects and programs implemented by the Embassy of Israel in the education sector of Georgia. Discussions were related to the multi-centenary friendly relations existing between the Georgian and Israeli people.

Head of Government of Georgia thanked Israel for its solid support towards territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.

Prime Minister of Georgia wished every success to the Ambassador of Israel to Georgia and pledged readiness to cooperate in future.

Meeting held at the Government Administration of Georgia was attended by Irakli Chikovani, Foreign Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister of Georgia.
