582 apartments will be built in 17 months to belong to you and these children, to enable you, citizens of Georgia, to lead a decent life and raise worthy children, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated in his speech at the inauguration of Dream Town's construction site in Batumi.
According to the Head of Government, the construction of a new school will start here in 2021. A relevant decision has already been made by the Ministry of Education, added the Prime Minister.
"I am honored to be here today. Earlier, we came here together with governmental officials, and we pledged back then that a new construction site would be launched here to enable you, citizens of Georgia, to live a decent life. We all understand well that, unfortunately, we are still living in a needy country. We still must work hard daily, together, to solve the dire social issues like those encountered in Adjara. But ultimately, what we have here is the beginning of construction work today, and Dream Town will be built here-and I promise you that 582 apartments will be built here in 17 months, apartments to be owned by you and these children, to enable you, citizens of Georgia, to lead a decent life and raise worthy children. That is what matters most, which is why I want to tell you that, in 2021, the construction of a new school for these children will start here. This decision has already been made by the Ministry of Education, and a school and a kindergarten will be built here. The key goal of the Government of Georgia, and of the Government of Adjara, is to turn this country into a land of opportunity for these children, so that they may be able to lead a decent life. Once again, congratulations," Giorgi Gakharia stated.
This large-scale social project, with its total value reaching 38.7 million GEL, is financed from the budget of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, and it will be completed in 17 months.
For years, the population of future Dream Town's territory has lived in hard conditions. In February of 2019, a decision was made to solve this years-long major social problem, and it was decided to build a residential complex in the territory of Dream Town in order to offer the local population decent living conditions.
The relevant tender was won by Dagi, a company expected to finalize the construction of a 582-apartment residential complex under the project in 17 months. The project involves the construction of three 12-story houses. The project's value is 38.7 million GEL. The next step in development includes the construction of a school, a kindergarten, and a playground.
