On June 20, 2007 was held the Meeting of the Government of Georgia. The agenda consisted of 31 items.
Upon beginning of the Meeting the Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli informed the members of the Government about the final results of the first quarter of the current year. He noted that the real index of growth of the gross domestic product in the first quarter attained to 11.4% and expressed the hope that the rates will increase, the two-digit index will be preserved and will make up 12-15% within the year. He said that in the year-end the nominal domestic product in Georgia will attain to 2300 USD and the so called PPP-index will exceed 5000 USD. This is very important for development of the national economy, creation of new working places and solution of the problems facing us. "We are working on the further structural development of the Georgian economy, formation of other basics for its development, creation of new working places. We are estimating that this year additionally 90000 working places will be created in the Georgian economy, - stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.
