On January 10, 2007 was held the Meeting of the Government of Georgia. The agenda included 18 items.
Upon the beginning of the Meeting the Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli congratulated those attended with the Christmas Day of January 7 and New Year and summarized in brief the annual results. He said that the year 2006 was successful in all directions and focused attention of the members of the Government on some economic figures. Namely, he said that by the joint efforts of the Government of Georgia and National Bank of Georgia the one-digit inflation rate was preserved, though in summer the 12-month inflation rate was 14.5%; the economic growth rate made up 10$%; were created about 80-85 thousand working places; the international institutions recognized Georgia as the number one reformer worldwide.
We have the same objectives for year 2007. Namely, Georgia shall be again among the leading reformers-countries, we shall have concern of creation of more working places, shall achieve higher economic growth rates and, that is very important, in the nearest future we shall develop the agenda of reforms to be implements in the current year, - stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.
