"As you know Nika Gilauri was on a business visit to Dubai on February 12-16, and on an official visit to Kuwait on February 16-17.

I wish to talk about the visits in details. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Aleko Khetaguri, the Minister of Energy, and Tamar Kovziridze, the Chief Adviser to the Prime Minister for Foreign Relations.

Within the framework of the visit the Prime Minister met the Kuwait Emir, Speaker of the Parliament, Prime Minister and Ministers of the Government of Kuwait.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister met the large Kuwait businessmen. They expressed their wish to make certain investments in Georgian economy. In particular, the parties talked about investment opportunities in retail trade development and energy sector. The subject of discuss was to create a large shopping mall having a regional significance.

Prime Minister Nika Gilauri also discussed the increase in exports to Kuwait. It is expected to export Georgian agricultural products and Georgian mineral and drinking waters to Kuwait.
As a result of the visit the parties agreed to organize arrival of two groups of Kuwait businessmen and the Government representatives in Georgia in March or April. The exact date has not been set so far. They will arrive in Georgia and study the situation in place."
