"First of all, I would like to congratulate Kutaisi population on the Day of City "Kutaisoba". It's a beautiful and good day. There have been many events planned and a lot of children will entertain much.

I'm here to see a new railway station opened today. A lot of things have been done and as per the railway station, significant rehabilitation work is in the process; new cars and new locomotives have been imported; the railway line itself is under repair; I'd like to show you the past and future railway of Georgia; the difference is big; in some years traveling from Tbilisi to Batumi will only take 3 hours.

Prime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri in KutaisiAs per Kutaisi itself, we have planned a lot of new projects in this city and some of them are in the course of implementation. Railway station is not the only one, building of the Chamber of Control will be completed by the end of May and from June the Chamber of Control will continue its activities in Kutaisi. Building of the Roads Department will be completed by the end of May as well and from June the Roads Department will also carry on it business here. Building of the West Center of the Department of Foreign Affairs will come to an end in some months and it will be also moved to this city. The main thing is that building of the Parliament is starting. It will require more time and in some years the Parliament will be also moved to Kutaisi.

Accordingly, Kutaisi is actually going to be the second capital city of Georgia", - declared Nika Gilauri.
