"Progress in implementation of the 100 Hospitals Program was seriously impeded. We've ensured its modeling and offered a new version to the society. However, we cannot say that the time was wasted.

Namely, this hospital (in Ortachala) is the part of the 100 Hospitals Program. That's one of good examples of future hospitals in Georgia. The building is Prime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri equipped with high technology equipment and will come into operation in the middle of the next year. It requires approximately 3-4 months for full completion of work. At present 150 personnel are employed here. When the hospital is put into operation, the number of medical staff will increase to about 700 employees.

Investment of 23 million euros is going to be made and from the next year Tbilisi will have high-tech hospitals. This is the part of the program that I presented to the society several days ago. According to the program we divided Tbilisi into hospital clusters. One of them is Ortachala cluster. In the clusters the state and private sector will start and finish building of
new hospitals equipped with modern technology equipment. This is one of the examples of how the private sector provides building of such hospitals with private investment.

Now the main thing is to make sure that building is being launched. This is one of the crucial factors for the success of a new healthcare reform presented to the society several days ago. Finally, I'd like to note once again that this particular hospital building will be a good example of the successful healthcare reform", - commented the Prime Minister when talking to journalists.
