Before the Meeting, Prime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri talked about the economic activities during July, 2010.
Here's the speech of the Prime Minister:

"According to the preliminary data the economic growth for the first six months totaled from 5.5% to 6%. The exact figure can be obtained at the beginning of September.

It's pleasant that the tendency of growth rate is the same as it was during the first six months.

I'll give several examples: the growth is very important in view of bank deposits. If compared to July last year, now the bank deposits have been increased by 44%.

I'd like to highlight that the amount of the current deposits (more than 3.9 billion GEL) is the all-time high rate in the history of Georgia.

The loan portfolio has been also increased and if compared to July last year, at present the growth totals 10%. Furthermore, actual sector is very important, and here the growth is observed in registration of motor cars. If during the first six months the growth was 15%, if compared to July last year, at present the growth totals 34%.

The most important figure is the VAT payers' turnover, which is in close correlation with the economic activities. As of the data of July, here we have also a good figure.
If during the first six months the VAT turnover growth was by 25%, if compared to July last year, now the growth is 28%.

It's pleasant that the economic growth expands over different sectors, especially, in the fields of export and tourism.

I'd like to highlight the number of visitors, which has been increased by 33% in comparison with the last year.

It is very important to keep the growth of economic activities permanently, create more working places and carry on our struggle against unemployment."
