On September 7, 2011 was held the meeting of the Georgian Government. The agenda included 66 items.
Before the meeting started, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Nika Gilauri, talked about European Basketball Championship Eurobasket-2011 held in Lithuania:
" Before we start the government meeting, I would like to congratulate everyone on success of Georgian national basketball team.
This is a historic success. This is for the first time that Georgian national basketball team has moved to the second stage of the tournament of such a high level. I would like to thank the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Agriculture for a very well-organized Cultural Days of Georgia representing our country in Lithuania, Claipeda, as this has had a very good result; the same will take place in Vilnius.
The games were not easy, and they will have to play even more difficult ones, but there is a chance and let's wish our players success."
