According to the Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili's decision, State Security and Crisis management Council is to establish in Georgia within which Crisis Management Center will be operating. The Center will provide coordination of all the relevant agencies with the purpose to take effective steps at the time of natural disasters and other force-majeure situations.

It should be noted that the analogous structure has never existed in Georgia until today.
State security and Crisis management Special Council will be set up by the end of the month and the partner countries: the USA, Britain and Israel are involved in the process.

Before creating Crisis Management Center, according to the Prime Minister's directive, the temporary headquarters has already started working, which is to respond immediately to the problems has occurred due to disaster.

All structures working in 24-hour regime are mobilized. In Achara the authorities of the Ministries of Energy and Infrastructure, including ministers - Kakha Kaladze and Davis Narmania, as well as Ministry of Internal Affairs and Patrol Police, the Government of Achara, all relevant agencies of Central and Achara Government are directly participating in elimination works of the natural disaster consequences.

Heavy snowfall this year inflicted significant and unprecedented large-scale damage to Georgian energy system. At the same time three central transmission power lines in Achara are out of order.

By the time from among the three damaged power lines, two are already restored. Also, energy supply to Batumi and the surrounding villages is fully restored. Recovery of fallen 8 posts is complicated as in the past they were installed by means of helicopters. Due to severe meteorological conditions the helicopters could be used only for 20 minutes these days.

Operational meeting was held in the State Chancellery on December 15, at 8 o'clock in the evening. The Prime Minister stated that natural disasters are inevitable and they are not subjected to government control. The state power is responsible for timely response and the Government of Georgia has moved on to exactly this kind of operational response regime.
