Prime Minister of Georgia met with the delegation of the fact-finding mission of European Social Democrats. This meeting was held at the Chancellery of the Government of Georgia. It was attended by Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze.
Irakli Garibashvili thanked Tommy Waidelich (Head of the Mission, European Forum President and Swedish politician) for the support so often provided by representatives of the social democratic political group for the current Georgian Government. As Chairperson of the Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia political party, Garibashvili expressed his commitment to deepening relations with European Socialists.
Besides the issue of bilateral relations, the parties also discussed the topics of Georgia-EU relations and peaceful conflict resolution.
The Party of European Socialists is the largest union of political parties in Europe. Their representation in EU institutions is quite impressive.
