Prime Minister Appoints New Head of Intelligence Service of Georgia

According to the Prime Minister's decision, David Sujashvili was appointed as the head of the Intelligence Service of Georgia. Today Irakli Garibashvili met with the former and the new heads of Intelligence Service. He thanked Gela Bezhuashvili for his activities and wished success to David Sujashvili on his responsible position. During the meeting the premier talked about the importance of Intelligence Service. As he stated, development of the mentioned above agency represents the top priority for the country. According to the decision of Irakli Garibashvili, the Intelligence Service budget has increased by 3 million GEL from 2014 that will be spent on infrastructural development of the given Service.

The head of Intelligence Service of Georgia David Sujashvili was appointed as the head of Information-Analytical Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2012. During 1999-2012 he had worked in the Intelligence Service.
