On February 07, 2013, a government meeting was held at the Government Chancellery of Georgia. There were 34 issues on the agenda, 2 issues were added, 36 issues were approved.
Draft resolution on "Approval of Rural Support Program" was approved based on decision of the government of Georgia. Present program is stipulated in state budget of the year 2013 in amount of GEL 50 million. New resolution will regulate implementation of events considered by program.
Criteria and procedures for determining of purposefulness and priorities for allocation of funds according to definite villages of municipalities was concretized and developed partially in a new way.
Government adopted a resolution on "Approval of local self-government and regional project selection criteria and procedures, which are to be financed from fund of projects to be implemented in regions of Georgia considered by state budget of Georgia". Present resolution determines procedures and criteria for determining of purposefulness and priorities of selection of projects, concretizes stages of preparation of government decree for allocation of funds and determines institutions responsible for implementation, coordination and monitoring of the program. Enactment of resolution doesn't cause allocation of additional funds from state budget of Georgia. Draft resolution was initiated and presented by the Ministry Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia.
