Meeting of the Government as of February 21, 2013On February 21, 2013, a government meeting was held at the Government Chancellery of Georgia. There were 32 issues on the agenda, 1 issues were added, 33 issues were approved.

 Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili instructed members of government to start working on development of document, which would reflect the state strategies. It will be a strategic document. Ministries and experts will be included in its development.Present document will be adopted by Georgian Parliament in 2014 together with the state budget.

The basic principles of the strategy for decentralization and development of self-government for 2013-2014 were approved based of resolution of Georgian government. Formation of regional territorial-administrative units will be determined by law. Main elements of regional self-governance will be established at a regional level, which includes creation of representative body. According to Mr. Narmania this body will include representatives of local self-governance elected at the first level.

Draft resolution of Georgian government on "Measures to be taken for transition to general healthcare" was approved today. According to resolution Georgia will move to universal healthcare. It means provision of health services to 2 million Georgian citizens by 100%. From April 1st social allocation for disabled people will increase from GEL 100 to GEL 125. Number of such people is up to 21 000. Approximately half mullion GEL is allocated from the budget for this purpose.
