Charity concert in aid of children ill with cancer under age of 21 - the evening with the participation of Grammy Award winner American ensemble New York Voices and Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra was held in Tbilisi Big Concert Hall.
The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili together with his wife attended the charity concert. The project is supported by the Government of Georgia and organized by the Ministry of Culture.
The money collected from the concert will be entirely transferred to the "Solidarity Fund" established on the Prime Minister's initiative and used for treatment of the cancer patients under age of 21.
According to the data as of December 17, the Fund approved funding of treatment for 48 children ill with cancer under age of 21. More than 35 000 public servants have voluntarily donated to the „Solidarity Fund", and 12 companies are in close cooperation with the Fund.
