2014-12-18

"The ratification of the Association Agreement is a very important date for our country," Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili stated at today's government meeting. The Prime Minister welcomes and congratulates the population on the historical date. According to Irakli Garibashvili, Chair of the Parliament Davit Usupashvili will not be able attend the ratification due to objectively valid reasons. Therefore, at the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government requested the President of Georgia to represent Georgia at this event in the European Parliament.
"The President of Georgia decided to represent our country on the day of ratification, which is important. I asked Tamar Beruchashvili to accompany the President. They will attend the ratification of the Association Agreement today," the Prime Minister pointed out.
