The enterprise over the 10,000 square meters, equipped with the modern technologies and investment of 5 million GEL - the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili viewed one more greenhouse farming funded in the frameworks of the Preferential Agrocredit Project.
The Prime Minister congratulated the successful project implementation to the investors.
"Totally 105 enterprises were funded in the frameworks of the Preferential Agrocredit Project and "Produce in Georgia". Agriculture and manufacturing development in Georgia is one of our top priorities. This enterprise is another example of the successful cooperation between the state and private sector. Our main goal is to enhance village, strengthen peasant and farmer," - the Prime Minister said.
At this stage, 20 locals will be employed in the enterprise. In the near future, the greenhouse farming will be arranged additionally over 40,000 square meters and employ totally 100 locals. The greenhouse farming received 600 thousand US dollars in the frameworks of Preferential Agrocredit Project.
Imereti Greenery includes greenhouse/warehouse farming and transport and distribution network equipped with the refrigerators. Various types of vegetables are planned to be grown in the greenhouse, which will be implemented under the direct supervision of Dutch experts and the products will come in full compliance with the European standards.
