The meeting of government with leadership of Prime Minister of Georgia of Irakli Garibashvili, was held in the administration of government. The cabinet of minister discussed 34 issues being foreseen by agenda. 6 issues were postponed, 2 issues were added and 30 ones were approved. The bill about making amendment in the Organic Law of Georgia about general courts was approved. The issue refers to appointment of judges with 3 years of probation period.
In order to assess the activities of the judge appointed for three years of probation period on the position. In 1 and 2 years since appointment on the position, as well as 4 months before completion of 3 years period, Supreme Council of Justice of Georgia will select one judge from the council and one non-member judge, who have to evaluate the activity of the judge within one month for the respective period. Various members of the council should evaluate all three evaluations, which included two parallel evaluations of relevant period. Those reports will be sent to the members of supreme council of Justice of Georgia for study three months prior expiration of judge office. Based on the analysis of the report and interview with a judge, Supreme Council of Justice discusses and takes reasoned decision by voting of at least 2/3 of the members whether assigned a judge on the position of a judge for its lifetime up to the age defined by the law.
According to the decisions of government members, the bill about amendment of a Georgian Law about higher education was approved.
The bill considers assignment of the authority of approval of coefficient ranging documents, absolute score ranging documents, master examination coefficient ranging document by LEPL national center of evaluation and examinations. Accordingly, the center takes full authority on the correctness of the elaborated document, ensures their approval, and provision of higher education at least a week before. The bill defines the concept of the exchange program students and different regulation.
