Regular meeting of government was held by the leadership of Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili at the Government Administration of Georgia. The Cabinet of Ministers discussed 13 issues, foreseen by the schedule, 4 issues were added, and 17 issues were approved.
According to the decision of the meeting of the government, amendments were made into a universal health care resolution, namely, in the article on penalty sanctions. If the medical facility cannot meet the relevant requirements of the Minister's Order on the medical activities, instead of full return of the refunded amount, additional penalty sanction of 1% of the refunded amount is established.
For the purposes of the drug policy, in emergency situations related to drug abuse, in order to provide uninterrupted supply of the medical care, the conditions of beneficiaries, integrated from the universal public health insurance programs (including socially vulnerable persons) will be equal to the beneficiaries of other category of the same program and also in order not to be a barrier to health service delivery in urgent cases. Emergency in-patient or out-patient services, incurred due to the influence of consumed illegal drugs will be funded to them, like to other beneficiaries.
