By leadership of Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili was held the regular meeting of Government in the Administration of Government of Georgia. Members of the Ministers Cabinet discussed 33 issues of the agenda. One question was postponed, 10 issues were added and 42 issues were approved.
The Government issued the relevant approval regarding the sending of humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Members of the government made decision, according to which Georgia will help Ukraine. At this stage the sum of the aid will be more than one million GEL. As for the composition there have been defined drugs for sending, including diabetes medication, antibiotics, vaccines for children, surgical tools and first-aid bags.
At the meeting it was decided to begin multidisciplinary studies and physical activities for Vardzia Complex. There was designed a 4-year project to save the unique cave complex on the first stage of which there were planned complex multidisciplinary studies and a number of works.
At the meeting there was also approved the action plan of the Open Government Partnership. There are 27 obligations in the 2014-2015 action plan of "Open government to Georgia" that undertakes Georgia in order to ensure an open and transparent public administration system, including: freedom of information legislation design; Creation of electronic petitions system; launching of Open Data Portal - www.data.gov.ge; elaboration of Impartial civil employment in public services; creation of public officials' asset declarations monitoring system; Disclosure of secret surveillance statistics of courts; development of community centers; Modernization of public libraries; forming information mechanisms for society regarding budgetary process. OGP (Open Government Partnership) was founded by initiative of the Presidents of the United States and Brazil in 2011. It is designed to promote Government transparency, accountability and efficiency. Today, the "Open Government Partnership" includes 64 states. Georgia is one of the most successful members of the partnership.
