Government Session, chaired by Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili was held at the Government Administration. The Cabinet discussed 21 issues on the Agenda.
The amendment has been introduced to the Law of Georgia on "Medicine and Pharmaceutical Activity". According to the amendment, a pharmaceutical product can be realized only in case, when it is sold, stored and placed in full compliance with the technical regulations, approved by the Georgian Government Resolution #575 (dated September 29, 2014) about "The Determination of Sanitary and Hygiene/Technical Conditions of the Pharmacy and Retail Trade Center." At the same time, the law does not include the enforcement mechanism of the above-mentioned requirement. The present draft law was drawn out in order to eliminate the mistakes. Breaching the rules, stipulated by the Resolution on determination of the sanitary and hygiene/technical conditions of the pharmacy (specialized trade facility) and retail trade center will result in a penalty of 1 000 GEL. The same action committed repeatedly, will be connected with the fine of 2000 GEL.
