Government of Georgia – Government Meetings 2015 Year

Government Meeting of July 9, 2015 Print Version

2015-07-09

Government Session chaired by the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili was held at the State Administration. The Cabinet discussed 31 topics on the agenda.
Changes were introduced to the Government Resolution N126 (dated April 24, 2010) "About the Measures for Poverty Reduction and Improvement of Social Security". Financial assistance of June 13 disaster-affected vulnerable people (15 families) will continue. Part of the June 13-14, 2015 disaster-affected families will receive the allowance established by the legislation. They have left their homes as a result of natural disaster and have been accommodated by the state. According to the current legislation, change of address is subject to the suspension of allowance assigned to the family, until checking up their socio-economic condition on the new address and re-assigning the rating points. Therefore, it was deemed necessary (until January 1, 2016) to automatically extend/appoint the allowance based on the number of family members registered in the database, without verification of socio-economic conditions of the family for 13-14 June, 2015 disaster-affected families, who are entitled to the allowance or acquired allowance right due to the rating point.

The allowance will be automatically (without an assessment of socio-economic conditions) recalculated, according to the number of members of the family, after receiving officially confirmed information about the birth or death of a member of mentioned families and on the basis of a written notification application.
