H.E. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia attended an official reception, dedicated to a jubilee event of Japan.
Prime Minister congratulated the Japanese people with Jubilee of H.M. Emperor of Japan, a truly key-note event of national magnitude and spoke about the bondage of the two countries.

"Georgia and Japan share history and loyalty towards traditions. In the modern world our countries are bonded with fundamental values: democracy, freedom, human rights and rule of law. I am thrilled that our cooperation is advancing on the grounds of these very principles. Japan and Georgia have been faithful partners since the establishment of diplomatic relations. Unshaken position of the Japanese Government towards the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia is of tremendous importance to us. We highly appreciate the most significant moral and tangible support of the country and people of Japan, which has made considerable contribution to the economic and democratic advancement of Georgia over years" noted the Prime Minister.
Head of the Government of Georgia also stressed the bilateral relations, which have been intensified recently and added that cooperation in trade, economy, arts and culture, education and tourism is steadily developing.
Prime Minister expressed optimism towards geopolitical position of Georgia, welcoming business environment, investment potential and close relationship between the people will give rise to new opportunities to be fully embraced.

"In 2017 we are celebrating 25th Anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Japan. A number of events have been planned botb in Georgia and Japan to mark the event.
I am confident that we will implement large project initiatives in infrastructure, agriculture, energy, tourism, environment and other sectors. Next year should be truly outstanding for advancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation" added the Prime Minister of Georgia.
Head of Government expressed his gratitude to H.E. Toshio Kaitani, Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Japan to Georgia, who is actively contributing to a greater approximation of the two friendly nations together with the embassy staff.
Prime Minister expressed hopes about further intensifying the fruitful cooperation of Georgia and Japan in the coming years with a shared effort for a peaceful and stable development of the two countries.
H. E. Toshio Kaitani, Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Japan to Georgia spoke about friendship and shared values of Georgia and Japan.

"Japan continues to support Georgia from Asia-Pacific. We wish to congratulate you with democratic elections, along with the formation of new Government and Parliament in Georgia. We are delighted that relations of your country with the European Union are progressing well, especially towards visa-liberalisation, along with closer ties with NATO and other countries" noted the Ambassador.
On behalf of H.M. Emperor of Japan, His Excellency wished prosperity to the country and people of Georgia, along with closer friendship between the two nations.
Jubilee Reception was attended by officials of the executive and legislative authorities of Georgia, diplomatic corps, representatives of international community and civil society.
