Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili met today with Arad Benko, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Georgia. The parties discussed core issues pertaining to the relations between the two countries and stressed the current dynamics of cooperation.
The two countries' close partnership in the political, trade and economic, cultural, and other fields over the past few years was also emphasized.

The Prime Minister of Georgia and the Austrian Ambassador expressed hope that the opening of the Austrian Embassy in Georgia will boost the relations between the countries, including deeper economic cooperation. The discussion also involved Georgia's investment environment. According to Arad Benko, Austrian businesspersons are taking growing interest in Georgia.

The parties discussed the importance of visa liberalization with the EU and success achieved on this path.
The Austrian Ambassador reiterated the strong support of the Republic of Austria for Georgia's aspirations, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
