Prime Minister of Georgia participated in Davos World Economic Forum Print Version

Prime Minister of Georgia took part in the World Economic Forum held in Davos. Giorgi Kvirikashvili left for Switzerland on January 20 to attend 46th session of the World Economic Forum.

Within the frames of the World Economic Forum Prime Minister delivered speech during the session dedicated to Eurasia and the Modern Silk Road. He also participated in "Informal Meeting of World Leaders", where economic priority issues for upcoming year were defined. The PM also attended working meetings, including "Meeting the European Commission" and "the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Europe's new agenda".

Giorgi Kvirikashvili also attended dinner hosted by the founder and executive chairman of the Economic Forum, Professor Klaus Schwab and his wife - Hilde Schwab.

Meetings with the representatives of world's leading companies, including BP, Tata Sons Ltd, Lazard, as well as with the presidents of the European Investment Bank and EBRD were conducted.
Within the frames of the visit, Giorgi Kvirikashvili conducted face-to-face meetings with the leaders of states including the presidents of Switzerland and Azerbaijan, Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan and the Netherlands. Meeting with the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the United States Department of State Victoria Nuland also took place. The Prime Minister also met former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Tony Blair.

Georgian delegation included the Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze, head of the National Investment Agency Giorgi Pertaia, Executive Director of "Georgian Railways" Mamuka Bakhtadze and Executive Director of the Georgian Co-Investment Fund Giorgi Bachiashvili.
