Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili conducted an official visit to the Republic of Belarus on March 22-23.

The first meeting was held with the President of Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

The official welcoming ceremony was held at the House of Government, where Giorgi Kvirikashvili was hosted by his Belarus counterpart Andrei Kobyakov. After the meeting extended negotiations and signing of international documents are planned. After the respective event, the Prime Ministers of the two countries made joint statements for the media.

After the meeting in an extended format, the Prime Ministers of the respective countries co-signed the Minutes regarding the outcomes of their meeting and Agreement on Cooperation in the field of Science and Technologies.

An Agreement concerning establishment of the Georgian-Belarusian Business Council between the Trade-Industrial Chambers of respective countries was also concluded.

Head of the Government of Georgia also met with Chairman of the National Assembly Mikheil Miasnokivoch and the head of chamber of representatives of National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko.

Within the frames of visit, the Prime Minister participated in the Georgia-Belarus Business Forum. He delivered a speech concerning achievements of Georgia, successfully implemented reforms and investment a potential. Giorgi Kvirikashvili visited the high-tech park and Museum of the WWII. Moreover, he laid a wreath at the monument dedicated to the victory in World War II.
The Georgian delegation, headed by the head of the government, also encompassee Minister of Economy, Deputy Prime Minister Dimitry Kumsishvili and Minister of Agriculture Otar Danelia.
