Georgian Prime Minister’s Visit to Spain Print Version

On January 17-18, the Prime Minister of Georgia was visiting the Kingdom of Spain to participate in the International Tourism Fair.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili's working visit to the Kingdom of Spain started with a meeting with WTO Secretary General Taleb Rifai. After the meeting at the WTO Headquarters, a commemorative plate honoring the Georgian Prime Minister was unveiled.

Meetings were also held with King Felipe VI of Spain and Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy of Spain. During his working visit to Madrid, the Prime Minister of Georgia, together with the Georgian delegation, participated in the International Tourism Fair, during which he, for the first time in the history of the fair, hosted King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain at the Georgian exhibition pavilion.

The Prime Minister also held a meeting with Florentino Perez, the Head of ACS Group (a leading global construction company) and President of Real Madrid C. F. The Head of ACS Group expressed interest in Georgia's ongoing and planned infrastructural projects, also showing interest in engaging in the implementation of the Anaklia Deep Sea Port Project.

During his working visit, Giorgi Kvirikashvili also attended an official reception organized on behalf of the King of Spain to honor the participants of the International Tourism Trade Fair.
