Our economy needs faster economic growth, which is why took this step, and all assets, especially state-owned assets, that are not in economic circulation must be activated as fast as possible, Georgian Prime Minister stated at today's presentation of 100 privatization investment offers to local and international businesses.

According to the Head of Government, the number of jobs, education, and security are of paramount importance, and their unity should result in rapid economic growth.
"Firstly, I would like to thank the Ministry of Economy for its effective and fast work resulting in 100 investment projects on offer. Most importantly, now at least 100 investment projects are offered by the state for businesses to operate more effectively. We have repeatedly stated that the number of jobs, education, and security are what matters to us most, and their unity should ensure rapid economic growth. By the way, our economic growth in October reached 5.7% despite all this hooliganism of some colleagues. And the growth in the past 10 months is 5.1%. Of course, it is not enough, and our economy needs faster economic growth, and that is why we have decided that all assets, especially state-owned assets, which are not in economic circulation must be activated as fast as possible. That will enable businesses to bolster their operations, and our key goal, of course, is stronger business creating new jobs."

According to the Head of Government, the Government fully realizes its function of creating a comfortable environment for Georgian businesses to stronger and to create more jobs.
"We have stated repeatedly and I reiterate that our country's economic growth depends of the private sector. Private business is the key component of our country's economic growth, and the Government fully realizes its function of creating a comfortable environment for Georgian businesses to stronger and to create more jobs, enjoy greater profits, and be represented more widely in international markets. That is why we have made this offer, and that is why we are assuming responsibility and pledging to business this project will, at any moment, include at least 100 investment offers. As of today, there are about 117 with their overall investment value amounting to 150 million. But I also want to emphasize that the number of jobs is of paramount importance to us. We hope that every project implemented by businesses in effective cooperation with the state will create as many new jobs as pledged by businesses.

The Government will do everything, the Prime Minister added, to be a worthy and effective mediator on behalf of business in order to bring these projects to logical conclusion, and to offer citizens new jobs.

"This is our major motivation and goal, and despite of everything, we understand well that it is an election year, and there is a certain amount of turbulence. Nonetheless, both the Government and business must be far better focused, calm, resolute, and effectiveness-oriented in their action. Colleagues, I urge you once again, and I promise you that in relation to every project you are discussing now and draws your attention, each Ministry, and the Government as a whole will do everything to be your worthy and effective mediator in order to bring these projects to logical conclusion, and to offer new jobs to our citizens," Giorgi Gakharia emphasized.
