Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia together with Tornike Rizhvadze, Chairman of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara visited a construction site of a wrestling base in Chakvi today.

The Head of Government of Georgia was briefed about the progress of construction and observed the actual works. Upon the completion of construction, the training base will be a new venue for athletes and their tournaments to make sure that their preparedness for contests is complete.

Also, it will be possible to hold tournaments of various levels there. Construction of a three-floor building is almost complete. Roofing will commence shortly. Interior and façade are being fitted currently. Construction of the entire frame will be completed in October, while the project - at the end of 2022. Construction of the wrestling base was funded from the budget of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. Project is valued at 4.5 MLN GEL.

Prime Minister of Georgia was accompanied to the construction site of the sports base by Levvan Davitashvili, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia; Irakli Karseladze, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia; David Gabaidze, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara; Larry Barnabishvili, Department Head for Regional Coverage at the Government Administration of Georgia; Levan Zoidze, Mayor of Kobuleti Municipality.
