As you know, I, as part of the election campaign, frequently visited every municipality, meeting in person with local residents, and promising big projects, the reason why, today, I am starting a series of visits to the regions to see for myself how work progresses on various projects under implementation, meeting with local residents; our key goal must be acceleration across the country. And my visit to Adjara today serves this very purpose, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili stated in Kobuleti where he, together with Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Tornike Rijvadze, familiarized himself with work seeing to upgrade the shoreline.

The construction of a new boulevard has commenced in Kobuleti, stretching one kilometer at the initial stage but eventually planned to connect to Bobokvati, the Head of Government pointed out.

"This area will be upgraded, and I believe it will turn into another tourist destination. Upgrading this territory is very important to our population. Active work is also underway in every municipality on urban upgrading projects, which will also be accelerated as much as possible, because the weather conditions in some municipalities have slowed down the process of implementation," the Prime Minister said.

Under Renewed Regions, a program initiated by the Prime Minister, work on upgrading Kobuleti's shoreline is in full swing.

The Head of Government familiarized himself with work on the ground and was briefed on the project's progress.
The project seeks to build an 885-meter separation wall, a 900-meter-long long and 2.5-meter-wide bike path, and a 4-meter-wide pedestrian path the shoreline from the River Achva to the River Kintrish in Kobuleti. Commercial zones, recreation areas, and children's and sports sections with attractions and beach soccer pitches will be installed along the pedestrian path. A rehabilitated space will incorporate adapted sanitary units, and a pedestrian bridge will be built to connect to the old boulevard.

The value of the Kobuleti shoreline's rehabilitation and upgrading is 7,600,000 GEL. The project, launched in June 2021, will be finalized by the end of this year. The state budget has allocated 20,000,000 GEL to the Adjara Region for works on projects financed under the Renewed regions program.
