Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia inspected the construction of a Multifunctional School of Rowing in Rustavi today, which is at its final stage.

Project is aimed at the development of infrastructure, education, sports and health environment in the city to benefit the local residents and visitors with sports inventory at a venue of various designations. Sports halls and gyms, rest and recreation corners, conceptual spaces and similar units will be installed within the building and around it.

Local residents were actively engaged in the implementation of the project through their employment. In addition, when the School of Rowing will start its operation, the city will offer new jobs.

In parallel and with a decision of investors, a number of interesting concepts are being developed in an active manner for the teaching and development of advanced technologies within the venue.

According to the Head of Government of Georgia, as Rustavi has a long tradition of rowing, it is particularly important to have a Rowing Club in the city, as a historic, cultural, sports and education dimension.

The Prime Minister of Georgia was accompanied to the construction site by Alexandre Tsivtsivadze, Europe and World Youth Champion in Rowing in the age range of 18-23. He believes that the project will be a tremendous motivation for the followers of the traditional sports.

The Head of Government of Georgia inspected the construction together with Giorgi Dokhturishvili, Governor of Kvemo Kartli and Nino Latsabidze, Mayor of Rustavi.
