Prime Minister visits Friendship Avenue rehabilitation site Print Version

Today, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili the Friendship Avenue rehabilitation site in Rustavi.
Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Irakli Karseladze briefed the Head of Government on implemented and planned works.

According to the Prime Minister, the work underway in Rustavi under the Renewed Regions program will be finalized by the end of this year. Said program involves investing 40 million GEL in Rustavi.

The activities under the Renewed Regions program seek to rehabilitate Friendship Avenue and the square in front of the City Hall, to install engineering networks and upgrade elevators. The city's entrance and Queen Tamar Square will also be renovated, and several streets and square gardens will be rehabilitated. As of now, 70% of the work under phase one has been finalized.

On his visit, the Prime Minister was accompanied by Kvemo Kartli State Representative Giorgi Dokhturashvili, Rustavi Mayor Nino Latsabidze, Head of the Government Administration's Regional Liaison Department Leri Barnabishvili, Majority MP from Gardabani's 10 communities Irakli Shatakishvili, and MP Lekso Dalakishvili.
