The rehabilitation of the house of culture in the village of Matani is nearing completion. Today, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, together with Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Irakli Karseladze, familiarized himself with the site under rehabilitation.

The rehabilitation of this building, neglected for many years, is financed with 1,671,000 GEL from the fund for projects to be implemented in the regions. Notably, the building has never been renovated since its construction in the 1980s.

According to the Head of Government, reviving the house of culture was planned in response to the appeal of the villagers, and it promises to become an important center for adolescents and youth soon.
The house of culture will incorporate a village library and a variety of learning, music, and choreography clubs, also employing about 35 local residents.

According to the Head of Government, developing the economy and creating jobs is the Government's key priority.

The Prime Minister also met with the population of the village of Matani to learn more about their needs. The locals thanked Irakli Garibashvili for far-reaching ongoing and planned infrastructural projects, also pointing out water supply remains a problematic issue. The Prime Minister issued concrete instructions to the relevant officials to solve this issue in a timely manner.

The Head of Government was accompanied by Minister of Education and Science Mikheil Chkhenkeli, Akhmeta Municipality Mayor Alexi Pitskhelauri, Head of the Government Administration's Regional Liaison Department Leri Barnabishvili, Kvareli and Lagodeskhi Majoritarian MP Irakli Kadagishvili, and MP Gela Samkharauli.
