Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia inspected the road rehabilitation process on Noneshvili Street of Gurjaani today. The Head of Government of Georgia got briefed about the past and pending works from Irakli Karseladze, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia. Rehabilitation of 21 buildings and so-called Grandpa's Orchard and Grandma's Orchard on Noneshvili Street of Gurjaani are at the completion phase. Cost of works has amounted to 5.5 MLN GEL.

Within the scope of projects funded under the program, energy efficiency of buildings has been improved, windows and doors have been altered to positively reduce the utility bill. Also, pedestrian pavements, outdoor lighting, recreation spaces have been arranged.

Works under the first phase of the program are being completed in all eight municipalities of Kakheti.

Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing current infrastructure projects in 63 municipalities within the scope of a program initiated by the Prime Minister of Georgia and branded as Renovated Regions. Only the first phase of the program is tentatively projected to cost 500 MLN GEL.

The Prime Minister of Georgia was accompanied to the site by representatives of the executive, legislative and local authorities.
