Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia expressed condolences to the family of celebrated pianist Alexander (Lexo) Toradze.

The Head of Government of Georgia was at the State Conservatoire of Tbilisi, which served a venue of the public funeral service for the celebrated pianist.

Lexo Toradze lived and actively pursued teaching career in the United States of America since 1983. He was one of the virtuosos of the modern world as a celebrated Georgian pianist. Lexo Toradze cooperated with world renowned conductors and participated in the international festivals of London, Chicago, Salzburg, Edinburg, Rotterdam and other big cities of the world. In 1991 the musician became a professor of the Indiana University South Bend (IUSB) and established a Toradze Piano Studio thereby. It soon gained huge recognition as a center of music education.

Celebrated Georgian pianist - late Lexo Toradze - passed away on May 11 at the age of 69 in the United States of America.
