Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia visited a new football stadium of international standards in Khashuri today.
The Head of Government of Georgia was briefed about the performed works by Irakli Karseladze, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia.
According to him, the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) carried out the construction works at the stadium under the financial support of the World Bank in the volume of 6.4 MLN GEL.
Artificial grass surface was made at the football stadium within the scope of the project, along with the outdoor lighting and essential irrigation system maintained in the relevant condition for the sports venue. Seats for 2100 viewers were installed, along with the outdoor parking lot and supporting facilities.
Road infrastructure was built to access the stadium from the surrounding areas.
The Prime Minister of Georgia was accompanied to the site by Levan Kobiashvili, President of the Football Federation, along with representatives of the executive, legislative and local authorities.
