Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia met executives of the APM Terminals today.

Potential of Poti port and increased interest towards the Middle Corridor was discussed at the meeting.

Focus was made on the development and advancement of marine infrastructure at Poti port acquiring special importance against the background of rising volume of international shipments of cargo. Representatives of the APM Terminals expressed readiness to make more investments and to modernize the existing infrastructure.

Discussion was also related to the possible future expansion of Poti port.

Meeting held within the Government Administration was attended by Van Der Essen, Regional Director of APM Terminals for Europe and Africa; Julián Fernández, Director General of APM Terminals Poti. Georgian attendees included Levan Davitashvili, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.
