Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In the one-on-one meeting at Zuğulba Presidential Palace, the leaders underlined the high level of the strategic partnership between the two countries. Close cooperation in a variety of directions, including trade and economy, was emphasized.
The Prime Minister thanked the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for supporting Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty. The importance of peace and stability in the region was underlined. The Head of Government asserted Georgia's readiness to continue contributing to this process in the future.
At the one-on-one meeting, the leaders discussed large-scale joint strategic projects and prospects of furthering this cooperation, including in the areas of transport and energy.
After the one-on-one meeting, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan hosted a formal dinner in honor of the Head of Georgian Government and his delegation.
