Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Johan Forssell, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of the Kingdom of Sweden.
The conversation at the meeting focused on the bilateral relations between the countries that have brought about tangible results in the political area along with trade and economy, defense and security, and education and culture alike.
One of the conversation topics was the bill on Transparency of Foreign Influence. The Prime Minister emphasized that the bill seeks to ensure that NGOs and relevant media outlets submit financial declarations once a year, in this way cementing Georgia's state sovereignty.
Attention at the meeting was paid to the security challenges in the region and the process of Georgia's European integration. The Prime Minister pointed out the Georgian Government's efforts and the importance of support from Western partners on this path.
